"On our wedding day we weren’t having a big traditional wedding or speeches. We wanted something fun and different and Ru’s Rhymes was the perfect option.

We met with Ruth and she talked through options, making sure she knew what we wanted. We chose to keep the actual content of the poem a surprise and trusted Ruth to do her thing. And what a surprise it was…..she captured everything perfectly, it was brilliant.

Captivating, funny and heartwarming all at the same time. Everyone loved it and it got a great reaction from the guests on the wedding day. Thank you so much Ruth, you are very talented."

10 year wedding anniversary

"Ruth wrote a poem for my husband for our ten year wedding anniversary. The whole process was smooth and easy. Ruth is lovely to speak to and we had a laugh talking about all the memories my husband and I have shared over the years.

Ruth completely nailed the poem on the first go and I didn't ask to change a single thing.

When I gave it to my husband he laughed and cried...she really got his personality and humour into the poem and we will treasure it forever.

"Ruth was absolutely amazing. She listened to everything I babbled on about when she asked me what I wanted to say in the poem and filtered out all of the rubbish!

The poem was exactly what I wanted and incorporates all of the funny little anecdotes that I mentioned in the zoom call in such a creative way!

The only changes I wanted to make was a date and the title!

"I absolutely loved the process of asking Ruth to write this poem for my Dad. We had a lovely long chat about memories and what he is like as a person, which in itself was a really enjoyable thing to do.

The poem was wonderful and made everyone a bit teary! I wish I could do it for everyone I know".

"Out of everything we organised for our wedding, sorting this reading with Ruth was by far the best (and easiest) thing we did.

Ruth was friendly and easy to talk to. She really listened and seemed to fully understand what we were hoping for in our reading.

She was also regularly in touch and kept us updated with progress. We wanted very few alterations, but where we were super fussy, Ruth made them quickly and the end result was far better than we ever imagined! Ruth also gave us a recording of our reading, so we could hear how it was best read. This helped a lot as we gave the poem to one of our guests to read at our wedding.

Overall our reading was perfect! We wanted something different and memorable for our wedding ceremony. What we got was a reading we will treasure for the rest of our lives."
